Freddie Flintoff has quit A League of Their Own after 12 years.The retired cricketer announced the shock news to fans on Instagram.He said: “It’s been 12 years, 16 series, six road trips across America and a mud bath I’d rather forget.“But now the time has come to leave the amazing ALOTO team.“I’d like to say a huge thanks to all of you who tuned in over the years and to everyone I have worked with on the show - what an unforgettable journey it’s been.”Freddie joined the Sky comedy game show when it launched in 2010 alongside Jamie Redknapp and host James Corden.Its popularity also led to a spin off travel and wacky challenge series called Road Trip.Corden was officially replaced as host last series by Romesh Ranganathan as he struggled to film the show due to his work in the USA.Fans will see Freddie in his final appearance on A League Of Their Own during its upcoming Road Trip series filmed in Cardiff which is due to air later this year.Sky bosses have so far stayed silent on how his departure will affect the future of the show..
