Sign up for our What's On newsletter - for all the latest whether you're staying in or heading out and aboutIconic British fashion brand Fred Perry is preparing to launch a new flagship store in the Northern Quarter.The huge site will be opening at the foot of Afflecks in the city centre this summer.After several months of high-profile high street closures, including nearby Debenhams, it's good news for Manchester at last.The heritage fashion brand was co-founded by Stockport-born tennis champion Fred Perry in the late 1940s, and is famed for its polo shirts and laurel wreath logo.It will be moving from its current location on Police Street to open the flagship store.The 2,820 sq ft unit occupies the corner of Oldham Street and Church.
