Former defender Paul Parker believes Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino is the ideal candidate to become Manchester United's next permanent manager.
United have earmarked Pochettino as one of their preferred choices to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a permanent basis and the Argentine is understood to be keen on the prospect of taking the reins at Old Trafford.
Despite, at the time of Solskjaer's dismissal, confirming that they would be looking to appoint an interim manager until the end of the season, United did test the water with PSG, looking to prize Pochettino away from the French giants mid-season.
However, they saw their efforts swiftly rejected and settled on Ralf Rangnick as an interim boss. Nevertheless, with the former Tottenham Hotspur chief understood to be unhappy in the French capital, Pochettino remains a firm target for United ahead of the summer.
