Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has slammed UEFA for the reported ultimatum they handed down to Denmark and Finland following Christian Eriksen's collapse during their Euro 2020 clash on Saturday.
The Group B game was suspended when the former Tottenham attacking midfielder collapsed when he went to receive the ball from a throw-in with nobody around him.
Referee Anthony Taylor waved paramedics onto the pitch immediately to give him treatment, with CPR needed to be given the player.
After a delay in which Danish players were seen in floods of tears and in an emotional state, the players left the pitch with Eriksen finally conscious again on a stretcher before being transferred to hospital.
