Perth man William Moore had just started a new job shortly after passing his driving test. But he was seen veering across the A85 Perth-Crieff road at different times, causing other motorists to take evasive action.He also mounted the pavement, swerved into a ditch and drove at excessive speeds during part of his nightmare journey before ultimately crashing into another car.The 30-year-old, of Lingay Court, North Muirton, admitted two charges of dangerous driving which took place on the A85, Perth-Crieff road, on December 31, 2019.

At Perth Sheriff Court, Sheriff Lindsay Foulis told him: “Weighing everything up, I am persuaded - just - that I can deal with this matter by the imposition of a community payback order. “This wasn’t a single act.
