Scottish Government's traffic lights system - similar to the one announced by Boris Johnson in England - will come into effect from Monday.
Countries are to be classified as green, amber and red and a review will take place every four weeks. The only popular European holiday destination on the green list is Portugal - which plans to welcome UK tourists who have had a recent negative test, have recovered from the virus and therefore have antibodies, or had both doses of a vaccine.People who do need to travel from a red list country need to isolate in a hotel, at a cost of about £1,750.
