The driving force behind the success of a Shotts-based charity has officially retired.June Vallance was appointed project manager of Getting Better Together (GBT) back in 2001 and has overseen the remarkable rise of the health initiative which offers a wide range of services from its base at Shotts Healthy Living Centre.June was given a surprise party to bid her a very fond farewell and Catherine Carson, from GBT, paid tribute to June’s fantastic work over the past two decades.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
