Flavor Flav has revealed that he recently relapsed after over four years of sobriety – see what the rapper had to say below.The Public Enemy rapper – who used to have a substance abuse problem and in 2023 revealed that he had spent a whopping $5million on drugs in a three-year stretch – has been celebrating his sobriety from alcohol since October 2020.

However, his streak has now come to an end, with the rapper admitting that he recently had a brief relapse. Flavor Flav wrote in an Instagram Story last night (April 3): “I remain authentic to who I am and a large part of the past 4.5 years for me has been my sobriety journey.

I think I’ve been an inspiration to many that if I could get sober, anyone can do it.”He continued: “But just when you think it’s easy, it ain’t.

I briefly relapsed. I say this to admit my mistake and publicly hold myself accountable. I am a human being who makes mistakes and it doesn’t make me a bad person.
