The devastated family of a teenager who died at Loch Lomond in southern Scotland have paid tribute to him. Connor Markward, 16, got into difficulty while swimming at around 7pm last night and drowned.
Emergency services, including the coastguard and police officers, were called to the lake to try and save the teen, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Connor's brother Leo announced the death on social media, with tributes flooding in from friends and relatives, the Daily Record reports.
Leo said: "Yesterday my whole world came crashing down. My baby bro drowned at Balloch in the most horrible of ways. "I’ll love you forever my son, sleep tight.
