The North Manchester Academy student died in the early hours of Wednesday morning, leaving her heartbroken family "inconsolable" and "struggling to come to terms" with how she "has become an angel at such a young age".
A man charged over Mia's death was due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. Heartbroken friends have paid tribute to Mia, who was described as "beautiful" and "kind", the Manchester Evening News reports.
