Fire crews cut person from wreckage of M90 crash near Kinross

A person was cut free from the wreckage of a crash on a busy Scots motorway. Firefighters raced to the scene on the M90 near Kinross and used cutting gear to release one casualty who was then passed into the care of paramedics.

Details on the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time. Motorists reported seeing a car which had come off the dual carriageway before ending up in a ditch at the side of the road.A fire service spokesperson said: “We received a call from police at 7.39pm and three appliances were sent.

Just one vehicle (was involved). Two sets of cutting gear were in use.“There was one casualty who was passed to paramedics.”Police and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted.Don't miss the latest news from
