dog walker left a farmer covered in blood after launching a rock at his head in a bizarre fit of anger.Christopher Pine has had "a few staples" put into his skull in A&E as a 'balding' man with a Staffordshire bull terrier objected to his work on a field. The 70-year-old was out in Creech St Michael, near Taunton, Somerset when someone decided to throw dirt at him, according to his wife.
When Christopher asked the dog walker the reason for the petulant outburst, he was told it was because he apparently ploughed over the footpath, SomersetLive reports.
Tossing dirt however soon spiralled into cracking his head open with a rock.Christopher's wife Jane said: "Without any provocation or anything else, this walker threw dirt at him as he was driving past, so he stopped to ask 'what's the problem' to find out why he'd done this.""He was then told 'don't plough the footpath', which of course he wasn't - he does everything 100% correctly.
We rent the field so in a sense you're even more careful with what you do."After a brief exchange in which Mr Pine informed the man of his right to work the field, the dog walker picked up a rock and proceeded to throw it at the farmer's head.Mrs Pine added: "With that he picked up a rock - and there are rocks there the size of your hand - and threw it at my husband's head, then he ran off."He is 70, and [he] purposefully threw it at someone's head.
