Manchester United fans have slammed their club's online account for a now-deleted tweet concerning incoming manager Erik ten Hag.The Red Devils' Twitter platform caused a social media meltdown on Monday following an update on Ten Hag's inevitable title success at Ajax.

The Eredivisie leaders are five points clear at the top of the table with just two games remaining and only a monumental collapse would prevent them from claiming their third crown in four years. But despite the impressive achievement, United fans were left raging when the club decided to update the fanbase on Ten Hag's latest success.

The tweet, which read: "Erik ten Hag's side maintained their advantage in a dramatic afternoon in the race for the Eredivisie title," came just hours after reports of unhappiness from Man Utd CEO Richard Arnold in regards to their social media strategy. After enduring another trophy-barren season, the controversial post was not taken well by supporters who immediately hit back on social media.

One wrote: 10 years without a league title, 15 years without a Champions League, 6 years without a single trophy. But @ManUtd admin thought we will be interested in Ajax title chance."HAVE YOUR SAY!
