Just 17 minutes into the match the forward was played through after a knock-on. The former Borussia Dortmund striker took the ball down with little pressure but couldn't bury the chance with his weaker right foot.
Fans went mental as they jumped on the chance to lay into the £51m player. A clip of the miss was shared on Reddit, with ramithrower replying: "Joining city automatically gives you the miss sitters trait." Another person replied claiming the striker could lose his place to Argentinian forward Julian Alvarez who is set to join up with the Manchester club this summer as well.
