A devastated family is in mourning after losing a daughter just weeks after the sudden death of her brother. Kirsty Smith, 26, died after collapsing in her boyfriend's home on Saturday.

Just seven weeks earlier she'd been the one to discover her brother Mark Smith wasn't breathing, TeessideLive reports. She tried to save him by giving CPR until an ambulance arrived, but sadly the 36-year-old was pronounced dead by paramedics on November 28.

Kirsty's family said they had been left shattered by the two siblings' sudden deaths. Dad Stuart Gellatly, 71, said: "Kirsty was a caring, beautiful, sincere, lovely person. "She did have a heart of gold.
