The family of a Scots pensioner who vanished without a trace for almost a month believe better CCTV coverage would have eased their heartbreak.
Brian Porteous, 80, disappeared from his sheltered housing complex in Woodburn Court, Hamilton, on March 21.A relative, who asked not to be named, claims that not a single sighting of Brian was found until his body was tragically recovered from the River Clyde on Sunday morning.
While formal identification is still to take place, the keys and wallet of Brian were found at the same time. The relative told the Daily Record: “The bottom line is that more could have been done to help the police in the search for Brian.“There would have been reduced time, cost, resources and heartbreak had proper CCTV
