Family dog mauls woman to death as relative makes horrifying discovery

The incident happened on Sunbeam Way, Kitts Green in the city on Friday afternoon.Emergency services rushed to the scene after a relative dialled 999 at about 2pm,  BirminghamLive reports.West Midlands Police say the dog is a Staffordshire cross and it will now 'humanely be put to sleep'.The force confirmed the dog also lived at the address.The death is being treated as a tragic incident, but with 'no suspicious circumstances'.A police spokesperson said: "We were called to Sunbeam Way, Shard End, just after 2pm on Friday by a relative."Sadly, a woman aged 25 was found dead at the scene.
