Like the rest of the country, those in Carrigstown have to practice sensible coronavirus precautions and so they will be following HSE guidelines and staying away from the set until at least 29 March.

As a result, Fair City has moved from its usual broadcast schedule of being aired on RTÉ One every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 8pm, to only being shown twice a week.

The schedule change will come into effect from next week. A spokesperson for RTÉ explained to The Irish Sun that only showing two episodes a week will allow fans to ‘enjoy all the happenings in Carrigstown until mid-April’.

Show bosses expect to announce next week’s schedule shortly and let fans know what night’s they can expect a dose of the long-running soap.
