The full-backs were targeted by United from the age of 12 and after several training sessions with the first-team, finally joined the club on permanent contracts aged 17 together in 2007.

Rafael would go on to win three Premier League titles, while Fabio won one title and started in the 2011 Champions League final defeat to Barcelona at Wembley, too, with many impressed by the determination and aggression they bought to the side during their time at Old Trafford.
