UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz was viciously knocked-out by the left foot of Marlon Vera in a brutal end an absorbing UFC Fight Night main event.

Cruz, who had beaten Casey Kenney and Pedro Munhoz after losing to Henry Cejudo following a four-year hiatus, came into the bout as a slight underdog against the in-form Colombian.Vera, who is eight years younger than his 37-year-old opponent, held his #5 ranking with victory having knocked down #8 Cruz on three occasions at the Pechanga Arena including the fourth-round finish.
