Former 'Emmerdale' star Sophie Powles is pregnant. The 32-year-old actress - who portrayed Holly Barton in the ITV soap - is expecting her first baby with her partner Mark Waters and she announced the happy news on her Instagram account to her 21,300 followers.

Posting a photo of herself lying on a beach with Mark with her bump on display, she wrote: "And so the adventure of us three begins. " Sophie was soon flooded with congratulatory messages from her followers, including from some of her former 'Emmerdale' co-stars.

Eden Taylor-Draper - who plays Belle Dingle - sent her three orange heart emojis, saying "beautiful". Tom Lister - who played Carl King - posted three red hearts to wish his one-time castmate well.
