Although he never kicked a ball or saved a shot in anger during his time in west London, he still got to train alongside the likes of Petr Cech and Didier Drogba.
After an injury forced him to retire from football in his early-20s, the ex-stopper took up jiu-jitsu. From there he moved onto MMA, and on Saturday he competed in his 16th fight at KSW 70, the number one mixed martial arts organisation in Poland.
Prasel wasn't expected to do much against former UFC heavyweight Daniel Omielanczuk. But after surviving some heavy salvos early on, he produced a stunning straight ankle lock that forced his opponent to concede after just 98 seconds.
