The “wicked” stepmother and “pitiless” father who killed a six-year-old boy have been jailed. Emma Tustin, 32, was convicted of murdering Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, while his father, 29-year-old Thomas Hughes, was found guilty of manslaughter.
Arthur had been subjected to a harrowing campaign of “evil” abuse, Coventry Crown Court heard, and died after suffering an “unsurvivable brain injury” at his stepmum's home in Solihull on June 16 last year.
