French detective Julien Baptiste made such a big impression in The Missing that he was awarded his own spin-off series – a dark tale of lies, murder, sex workers and gangsters, set in Belgium, the Netherlands and England.

It ended tragically, when the young man Julien had found out was his son murdered his own mother, a Dutch detective. As we catch up with Julien for series two, there’s been more family trauma and he’s not in a good way.

Leading man Tchéky Karyo, who plays Julien, explains: “Julien is quite down and he’s yelling at the world because of his pain.
