Jamie Campbell was only sixteen when he defied his school-teachers and turned up to his year 11 prom in a dress.The drag-obsessed teenager had caught the attention of BBC Three, who followed Jamie's journey as he came out as his drag queen alter-ego, Fifi la True, at the high school bash.
Jamie: Drag Queen at 16 aired back in 2011 and was a huge success, with the hour-long documentary reaching audiences across the globe.
As a result of its impact, the musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie was created by Tom McRae, with music by Dan Gillespie Sells.
Initially written for a two-week run at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre, it was instantly moved to a residency at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End, where it still runs today.
