Blue Flag and Seaside Award winners stretch across much of the country, though the South West has the most with 33 in Cornwall and Devon.
The status means the chosen beaches meet specific safe and clean standards in relation to the water quality and environment.
They also each run a minimum of five educational activities for the local community and visitors to raise awareness of the need to look after the natural environment.
