World Cup tents on a sweltering beach will not be allowed to quench their thirst with a cold beer.That is because Qatar beach accommodation zones will be dry with the only drink option soft.Organisers of the tournament in the Persian Gulf state – where alcohol is strictly controlled – will lay on booze in hotels, fan zones and at grounds.
But the Al Khor tented village will be alcohol-free. They are being erected around a fan village with food and drink options on the beach near the coastal village of Al Khor.The centrepiece will be a meeting area with a giant fire pit.
Tents have air conditioning, coffee and tea-making facilities, flat screen TVs with free-to-air channels in Qatar, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, fridges, safety deposit boxes and wi-fi.Who will win the World Cup?
