EMMERDALE star Michael Wildman has quit the ITV soap after three years. The actor, who plays villainous businessman Al Chapman, has bowed out to pursue new roles.
And he’s leaving on a high after Al’s recent affair with former enemy Chas Dingle has had viewers captivated. The storyline will reach its climax next week when Chas’s brother Cain discovers the truth and the pair clash in a horror shooting.
A source said: “Michael has really enjoyed his time at Emmerdale but it’s the right thing to move on. “He’s had some massive storylines but all good things must come to an end.” READ MORE ON ENTERTAINMENT SEXY VIII Ex-Emmerdale and Corrie stars cast in huge new roles for steamy Netflix seriesSOAP OPERA I’m A Celeb’s Olivia vows to strip in jungle shower but sends co-stars warning Michael’s decision to quit the soap follows the recent exit of Fiona Wade, who plays Priya Sharma, and those who were killed off during the soap’s Storm Week earlier this month Most read in The SunVLAD'S BARRAGE Putin oversees ‘nuke strike on West’ during 'Operation Thunder' WW3 drillsVARDY TIME Rebekah Vardy stuns in pink bikini on holiday after court showdown with ColeenPICTURE PERFECT I’m so good-looking it’s dangerous - jealous trolls constantly come for meSTRICTLY SPLIT Maisie Smith breaks down in tears and sparks split rumours with Max George.
