Soap actor Danny Miller reportedly played the hero when he recently stepped in to stop a distressed man from jumping off a bridge.
The Emmerdale star - famed for his role as Aaron Dingle - is said to have approached the male on a motorway in Audenshaw Manchester and talked him down from taking his own life.
Metro report that the man - who 30-year-old Danny helped - was suffering from PTSD as a former member of the army and that after Danny spoke to him about his own mental health battle that he offered the man his number so they could chat.
The outled add that the troubled gentleman was taken to hospital after emergency services arrived with an onlooker telling them that Danny and the man "shared a hug" when the man was away from the edge
