Emmerdale actor Ash Palmisciano has sadly announced his mother has passed away.The star, who is best known for playing Matty Barton in the ITV soap, took to Instagram on Sunday to share the news of his mum's death.Paying tribute to his mum, the 32-year-old posted a photo of them together in a sunny location smiling at the camera.He then told his 27,700 followers the heartbreaking news of her death.Ash said: "Still can’t believe you’re not with us mum," he started in the caption. "I’m just starting everyday like you did…with a good cuppa, Hope, love and positivity!"He then sweetly called her his 'biggest inspiration' and 'role model' before saying he missed her everyday with a red heart emoji.Ash's friends were quick to comment on the heartbreaking post with many offering their condolences.Actress Fiona Wade, who plays Priya Sharma in Emmerdale, said: "So much love to you darling."Life on Mars star Dean Andrews commented: "Much love mate."Emile John who plays Ethan Anderson on Emmerdale wrote: "Sending all the love to you and your family bro."Ash first appeared in Emmerdale when he took over from Grace Cassidy in 2018 after the young actor played him from 2009 to 2012.When the character returned to our screens in 2018, he was described as having transitioned in his years away from the Dales, making them Emmerdale's first transgender actor and character, reports OK!Originally, Ash was called to help with the upcoming transgender storyline, however, once he told producers he was an actor he was then asked to audition instead.Speaking about the experience on Lorraine, he said: "I went along and the next thing is them asking me if I want to audition.
