Emmerdale fans fume as ITV bosses change soap schedule in major channel shake-up

Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans were left irritated with ITV after their favourite soaps had yet another schedule changed, just months after they were allocated new timeslots.There are set to be fewer episodes in the coming week but Emmerdale is due to return to its previous slot of 7pm for this week, much to some fan’s delight.Coronation Street have recently decided to bump their episodes up to an hour, but they will return to 30 minute episodes throughout the week and air at 7:30pm.The overhaul, which is being put in place due to the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals, will result in a huge clash between the ITV soaps and BBC’s EastEnders.Emmerdale and Corrie will clash with ‘Enders on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday due to the change.The official Emmerdale Twitter account tweeted: “Don’t forget, we are on at 7pm all this week!
