Emma Willis hits out at Big Brother reboot plans and thinks show 'needs longer' off air

Big Brother presenter Emma Willis has slammed plans for a reboot and revealed that she thinks the show "needs longer" off air.The presenter, 46, hosted the iconic reality show when it crossed over from Channel 4 to Channel 5 and appeared on Tuesday's episode (May 31) of This Morning.Chatting with presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, who previously appeared as a Big Brother contestant and host respectively, Emma shared her hesitation about the show's return.Amid speculation that Big Brother could return to screens, Emma said: "I miss it so much but I do think it needs longer [off air]. "It needs a bit more of a rest, I think."Emma later conceded that she would be prepared for a Big Brother reboot if it maintained the spirit of the original series.Of the original show, she later added: "[I most enjoyed] how real it was. "I think if you go back to day dot when it first started and how it just took all of us by storm, it was just phenomenal."If it can do that again, and if it went back to that, it would be amazing wouldn't it?" Last month, it was reported that ITV bosses were considering a Big Brother reboot on ITV in the hope of attracting a 'new audience of younger fans'.A source previously told The Sun: "ITV is the home of big appointment telly.
