That’s great, Emma, but can we do it again, only this time do a few more bounces before you serve?’The man is a director, and we’re on the set of an upcoming Vodafone advert.
Everyone has their part: the court is playing Wimbledon’s Centre Court; the few dozen spectators are playing a typical SW19 crowd (all paid extras, they’ve gamely come in linen and sunglasses); and Raducanu is attempting a role that, eight months in, she’s still getting to grips with – that of Emma Raducanu, global sporting sensation.Her story is already legendary.
