Mónica Marie Zorrilla The first season of Netflix’s escapist hit “Emily in Paris” was sampled by some 58 million households worldwide in the month after its debut, making it what the streamer described as its “most popular” comedy series of 2020.Netflix disclosed the viewership stat Monday along with the news that production on Season 2 of the Darren Star comedy starring Lily Collins begins today in its namesake city.
The series will also shoot in St. Tropez and other spots in France.“Emily in Paris” debuted Oct. 2 and was renewed just five weeks later.
