Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

The team have been doing it after all recent fixtures to give supporters the opportunity to celebrate the achievement.And a video has emerged of Martinez lifting the trophy in the background of a TV interview with Colombian keeper Camilo Vargas, with the Aston Villa star boasting the silverware and getting immense reactions from supporters.Fans loved the reaction and swarmed to Reddit to discuss the celebrations, with one user saying: “With Dibu Martinez we have reached the peak of Argentine s***housery.”Another joked: “I want Argentina to advance through every knockout round only through penalty shootouts just to see what this guy will do.”Argentina beat Colombia in the semi-finals of their Copa America victory, winning 3-2 on penalties thanks to heroics from Martinez.Referring to how the 29-year-old suddenly appeared full of glee midway through the downbeat interview, another user said: “His comedic timing is incomparable.”Whilst another added: “Looks like Jamie Vardy now has a contender for the ‘King of S***housery’ title.”Villa supporters have previously commented on how they love the competitive streak of Martinez and now he will go out of his way to infuriate opposition fans, and they will have been pleased to see the former Arsenal shot-stopper commit his future to the club.The keeper signed a contract extension that will keep him at Villa Park until 2027, which will be a major boost to Steven Gerrard’s plans as the former Rangers boss looks to.
