Emergency services raced to Glasgow bridge to deal with late night incident

The bridge was closed in both directions as police responded to the incident.Glasgow Live reports the City Council's traffic management department (TRAFFCOM) issued a bulletin on the closure around 7.15pm on Wednesday evening.

The bulletin reads: "Due to an ongoing police incident the Albert Bridge is closed in both directions until further notice."Drivers and pedestrians who intended to use the bridge - that links the Saltmarket in the city centre with Crown Street on the city’s south side - were advised to follow police direction.Albert Bridge has since fully reopened.
