Ellen DeGeneres has told how she is "easy to talk to" and "not scary" after several people came forward to claim that The Ellen Show is a toxic workplace.

Last year, reports emerged in which it was suggested the show created an atmosphere thick with microaggressions and racist comments.

There were allegations of executive producers behaving inappropriately to staff and crew who made allegations of behind-the-scenes harassment.

Following the controversy, Ellen issued an apology live on air of her show and the channel did an investigation into the workplace claims.
