Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Eight-day heatwave on its way! Forecasters predict scorching weather to return within days

Brits should be set to prepare for another eight-day heatwave, according to experts. While it is obvious that temperatures have dropped this weekend after highs of 28 degrees on Friday, we haven’t got long to wait for another bout of hot weather.

According to the Mirror, the cool weather - where temperatures will struggle to reach even 20C - will continue over the next few days and into next week before the heat levels will rise again. “The unsettled pattern is expected to continue to dominate into the start of next week,” said the Met Office’s chief weather forecaster Paul Gundersen, “with the weather to return to near normal for the time of year.” He added: “If you’re not a fan of the warmth and humidity, then there’s good news, because this cold front is going to sweep away all that and introduce much fresher air. “That cooler air will be in place through Saturday and lasting to Sunday. “That low pressure system isn’t moving too far and another thing it’s going to do, with its isobars tightly packed, is bring some fairly gusty conditions.” However, early July should see sweltering conditions return, with some regions possibly reaching 32C and lasting for several days.

Leon Brown of US-based forecaster The Weather Company said: “More heatwaves imported from the continent to the UK are forecast this summer, each reaching at least 28C – and likely higher – and each lasting several days.” More heatwaves could arrive in August and even in September, with regular warm fronts being shunted across from Europe.
