Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.

The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.

Ed Sheeran 'lets singers do their thing' on his record label, says Jamie Lawson

Ed Sheeran is one of the best bosses you could ask for after becoming the first signing to his Gingerbread Man label back in 2015.Before signing to Ed's label, Jamie had already released three albums before his first record on Gingerbread Man, his self-titled album Jamie Lawson charted at Number One.Over the course of his career, Jamie has played to millions of fans while supporting the likes of Ed, One Direction and Vance Joy, as well as his own headline tours.Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, he reflected on the moment he discovered Ed wanted to sign him.Jamie said: "I was really flattered, it gave me a lot of confidence, in that, Ed had been thinking about starting a label for a while and the fact of him thinking my songs were the best way of launching that meant a lot to me."He has a lot of friends, he knows a lot of artists, he could have picked any of them that wasn't already signed to do it with, they would have been good enough."The fact he thought that mine was the best fitting at that point, meant a lot."The singer-songwriter continued: "He was very encouraging from the start, he was always there for me to be able to run ideas or songs past."He would always leave the music or recordings to me to do my thing with, which you couldn't ask for more in a record label."If you look at his record label and the roster of the records he's released so far, with mine, Foy, Vance and Maisie Peters, that's good stock as far as I can tell."Jamie is gearing up for An Acoustic Round Tour across the UK next month with Gemma Hayes, Richard Walters and Laura Zocca.Discussing the tour, he said: "We're all going to be on stage at the same time, one person will sing a song, tell a story about how the song came about and then it.
