However one savvy mum has managed to completely transform her kitchen floor with a cheap and easy hack that has made it look brand new.
Mum-of-two Fahmida Khatun bought a stencil for £14 from eBay and Frenchic paint to help her upcycle her existing floor and give it a brand new stylish mosaic design.
Trying to stick to a budget, the 33-year-old renovated her floor for less than £50. "I moved into my place three years ago and always disliked the kitchen floor, so I really wanted to change it," she told money-saving Facebook group DIY On A Budget UK. "I started following Frenchic on social media and I saw other followers painting their floor so I wanted to do mine.
