Former EastEnders star, Paul Nicholls, 42, believes that if he doesn't combat his drug addiction, he fears he may die.The actor has publicly spoken of his previous days which saw him not sleep for "three or four days".Paul who played Joe Wicks in the BBC soap until he departed Albert Square in 1997 has been attempting to combat his addiction over recent years.Speaking candidly about his battle, Paul revealed that last year, he struggled and relapsed, admitting he wouldn't sleep for several days at a time.The Ackley Bridge actor admits he felt "shame" and believed he would die if he didn't stop taking drugs.Speaking in a recent interview, he said: "I've had addiction issues before and relapsed last year."READ MORE: Carol Vorderman leaves.
