EASTENDERS legend June Brown, who played chain-smoking Dot Cotton, has left almost £1million in her will. The star, who died at the age of 95 in April, requested the money be divided equally between her five children.
Dot Cotton was one of the BBC soap’s longest-running and best-loved characters. She first appeared in 1985, the year EastEnders was created.
June quit in 1993, but returned four years later and stayed until 2020. One of her biggest storylines was Nasty Nick’s murder plot.
