The 54-year-old flatly refused to use a name linked to the BBC soap. A source said: “Adam was adamant. “He wanted to keep this project completely separate. "The crew had to work on a different character.” He played Ian Beale from 1985 to 2020.

They were taught how to walk in high heels, lip-sync to music and put on a cabaret-style show. Also competing on the show were Coronation Street star Simon Gregson, 48, fitness expert Mr Motivator, 69, Love Islander Chris Hughes, 27, pop singer George Shelley, 29, and England rugby union player Joe Marler, 35.
