Dundee Council is set to agree a £60,000 cash injection to help secure the future of the city’s UNESCO title. Councillors will meet next week to consider the proposal which is year one of a three-year commitment to consolidate the prestigious status.
Designs and project ideas on the future of the city’s UNESCO plans will also be outlined to councillors on Monday. The UNESCO title was awarded in 2014, giving Dundee exclusive access to a worldwide creative cities network.The announcement comes the day after Dundee City Council said it was struggling to balance next year's budget with a predicted shortfall of nearly £15million.A council spokesman said today: “The committee is being asked to agree support of £60,000 for 2022/2023 as year one
