Drivers hit out at Sainsbury's new 'money-grabbing' charges at petrol stations

Sainsbury's decision to charge for services that were formerly free of charge. Drivers now face charges for air and water services when they head to garages and petrol stations across the UK.

The supermarket chain used to offer these services for free at their forecourts, but this has now been replaced with a 30p charge for air and £1 for screenwash.

Drivers have spoken out against the decision in interviews with national media publications.One driver has told The Sun newspaper: "Had to pay twice for air on your new money-grabbing machine as three mins isn't enough for Landrover tyres.“Given the profits you lot make it’s pathetic that you are charging for this.
