Dr Hilary Jones has urged caution over travel and holidays outside of the UK due to how different countries are coping with the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking on Lorraine, he shared his concerns about international travel amid reports of countries being on a traffic light system.
He listed some of the places that the UK could be given the green light to travel to, without the need to quarantine on return.
But despite this hopeful news for some, Dr Hilary warned that there were still risks even if the country is on the green list and coping well with the pandemic in terms of cases, hospitalisations and vaccinations.
