THE King of hillclimbs is extending a royal welcome back to spectators as one of Scotland’s most famous motorsport venues gears up for a weekend of thrills over the next few days.This is the first time in two years that visitors have been allowed at Doune, known as the King of the Hills for its snaking 1350-metre course through the Perthshire countryside.It’s rightly regarded as one of the most challenging hillclimbs in the world.And to give motoring fans and others looking for a family day out an extra reason to come and see Scotland’s fastest race cars in action, the ticket price has been reduced to just £5 for adults.Children aged 14 and under enjoy free entry when accompanied by adults, making the Doune Hillclimb an ideal family day out.
