The Sun: 'With the reduced numbers, there's going to be a lot of filling for time. ' However, a different source insisted to MailOnline that numbers are 'not reduced' and that there has always been just four couples competing in the Dancing On Ice semi-finals.

They said: 'Numbers are not reduced for the semi-final this year.  'There are four couples performing in the show on Sunday which is the same amount of competitors that have featured in the semi-final for Dancing On Ice in each of its previous 12 series. 'MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.

It also comes after the show took a one-week break in February with the show not airing on Sunday (February 21), to give skaters time to recover following a series of axes.
