David Tennant has revealed he missed out on being James Bond – and didn't even know it. The former Doctor Who recently discovered that he was a contender to play the suave spy before Daniel Craig landed the coveted part.

What are you talking about?' He went, 'Yeah, the last time.' I suppose he meant, it must have been Daniel Craig, before that I would have been a child.""I think it was quite a long list and I don't think I was ever very near the top of it," added the 51-year-old.
