Deontay Wilder could be Dillian Whyte’s next opponent following the Brit’s win over Alexander Povetkin.Whyte exacted revenge over Povetkin by stopping the Russian in Gibraltar having originally been beaten last summer.Whyte had previously been Wilder’s mandatory challenger, though the Bronze Bomber seemed to avoid the Body Snatcher while WBC heavyweight champion.Tyson Fury now holds that belt having beaten Wilder last February with the American yet to return to the ring while Fury is set to take on Anthony Joshua for the undisputed title.Though Whyte and promoter Eddie Hearn opened up on the conversation that they had held with Wilder recently.Following Whyte’s win over Povetkin, Hearn said: "Wilder actually DM'ed Dillian on Instagram.
